Hunan Museum

A full-length robe — 128 cm long, 190 cm across the sleeves — that weighs 49 grams. The cloth runs 12 grams per square metre, and more than three quarters of it is open space.

This is where the Mawangdui Han tomb finds are kept and shown — a collection you cannot see anywhere else. The museum publishes an English site, so you can confirm the current status without translating anything.

The museum is not the tomb site: the excavated tombs themselves are elsewhere in Changsha. If you came for the artifacts, this is the address you want.
