ChinaTransit is designed as a static planning site. We avoid account systems and collect as little personal data as possible.
ChinaTransit is a static Astro site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not run user accounts, a backend application, or a database for traveler profiles.
We do not intentionally collect passport numbers, visa numbers, national ID numbers, medical details, precise travel history, or other sensitive document data.
The eligibility checker, Boarding Kit, and arrival-card preparation tools run in your browser. Inputs are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to ChinaTransit.
Tool state may be stored in URL query parameters or localStorage so that you can reload, print, or continue a checklist. That state stays on your device unless you choose to share the URL or export information yourself.
Cloudflare and other hosting infrastructure may keep standard server logs such as IP address, request URL, browser type, referrer, timestamp, and rough location. These logs are used for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
ChinaTransit currently uses no analytics at all. The site loads no analytics script — neither a third-party tracker nor a self-hosted one — sets no tracking cookies, and builds no advertising or cross-site tracking profiles. The privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics tool previously described here was retired together with the server it ran on, and its domain has been deleted. Apart from the hosting logs described above, no visit statistics are collected. If we introduce an analytics tool again, this page will be updated before it goes live.
Some outbound links may go to eSIM, VPN, insurance, hotel, payment, booking, map, or transport providers. Those services are separate companies with their own privacy policies.
Affiliate or sponsored partners may set cookies or receive standard referral information when you click through to their sites. Their practices are not controlled by ChinaTransit.
This site is built for travel planning and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly ask children to submit personal data.
Please do not send sensitive documents through contact channels. For corrections, a source link and a short explanation are usually enough.
You can clear localStorage in your browser to remove local tool state. You can also avoid sharing URLs that include your itinerary choices.
For privacy questions or deletion requests relating to communications you sent us, use the contact page. Because the site has no accounts or traveler database, many requests will involve confirming whether we have any message from you at all.
We may update this policy when the site, hosting, analytics, or partner relationships change. Material changes should be reflected on this page.
